Originally from Michigan, Laurie attended Michigan State University and graduated from Kellogg Community College summa cum laude. After residing in Southern California and Montana, Laurie left behind careers in travel and emergency communications to move to Florida in 2005. Since then, she has worked in the financial services industry attaining comprehensive knowledge of banking, insurance, investments, and financial planning. Laurie has obtained several Securities Licenses (Series 7, 6, 66, 63, 26) and the Florida Life, Health and Variable Annuity License.
Laurie is a Certified Divorce Financial Analyst (CDFA™). She works with divorcing clients to determine the short and long-term impact of proposed settlements. Her assistance helps clients avoid tax mistakes and common divorce pitfalls. Laurie will also assist clients after the divorce to move forward with their lives by developing a comprehensive financial plan.
Laurie believes volunteering and education are critical to a vibrant community. She has taught financial programs for area businesses, the YMCA, and Junior Achievement. She is a graduate of the Ormond Beach Leadership Program; a former co-chair for the American Cancer Society's inaugural Bark for Life event; and was a featured speaker for the Women's Council of Realtors and the Estate Planning Council. She is currently on the Board of the Estate Planning Council of the Fun Coast.
